What does DPCC means?
DPCC
Stands for Delhi Pollution Control Committee. DPCC is a regulatory body for
implementation of various Environmental / Pollution Control Laws in Delhi.
Functions
of DPCC:
1. Lay down standards for
treatment of sewage and trade effluents and for emissions from automobiles,
industrial plants, and any other polluting source.
2. Issuance of the Consent
Certificate/ License to the Industries falling in conforming areas and
complying the environmental norms.
3. Issuance of
Authorization to the Hospitals, Clinics, Animal Clinics, Blood Banks etc
4. Take Action against
Industrial units violating the environmental norms.
5. Assess the quality of
ambient water and air and take steps for the prevention, control and abatement
of air and water pollution.
Is it necessary to take DPCC License?
It is mandatory for
every Industrial/ Commercial unit/Health care Establishment to take Pollution
Control License/ Consent Certificate from Delhi Pollution Control Committee in
order to ensure that they take adequate measures to prevent Environmental Pollution.

Step By Step Process for DPCC License |

STEP 1 |
Registration First register your
industrial unit in your State Pollution Control Board Website by providing
general details like Industry name, address. You will get a userI'd and
password. |
STEP 2 |
Apply CTE application Apply for Consent to
Establish Application or CTE by filing industry details such as product
manufactured, raw material, wastewater generation, air emissions, hazardous
waste etc, as applicable to your unit and attach requisite documents and pay
requisite fee. |
STEP 3 |
Reply
to DPCC Query This application would
be processed in DPCC. In case of any discrepancies in application, DPCC
Officer would raise query/clarification online. Submit reply to this
clarification. On successful submission of reply to all queries you shall be
granted Consent To Establish Certificate. |
STEP 4 |
Install Pollution Control Devices Install pollution
control devices such as Effluent Treatment Plant, Sewage Treatment Plant, Wet
Scrubber, Bag filters etc as applicable to your industry. Always ensure that
capacity of installed pollution control device is adequate. |
STEP 5 |
Lab
Testing of Pollution Control Device Get lab testing done by
Authorised Laboratory of DPCC. This report would check whether the installed
Pollution Control Device is meeting the requisite Environmental Norms or not.
