Step 1: Prepare your eyelids

Before you start applying your winged eyeliner, make sure your eyelids are clean and free from any oils or residue. You can use a makeup remover or a gentle cleanser to ensure a smooth canvas for your eyeliner.

Step 2: Choose the right eyeliner

To achieve a precise and long-lasting winged eyeliner, it's essential to choose the right eyeliner product. Gel liners or liquid liners with a fine-pointed brush or pen applicator work best for creating sharp and defined wings. Make sure the formula is smudge-proof and waterproof to prevent any smearing or smudging throughout the party.

Step 3: Start with a pencil guideline

Using a soft pencil liner, lightly draw a guideline along your upper lash line. This guideline will act as a template for your winged eyeliner. Start from the inner corner of your eye and gradually increase the thickness as you move towards the outer corner.

 Step 4: Create the wing

To create the winged effect, extend the eyeliner from the outer corner of your eye toward the end of your eyebrow. The length and angle of the wing are up to your personal preference and the shape of your eyes. Take it slow and build up the wing gradually, ensuring both sides are symmetrical.

Step 5: Connect the wing to the lash line

Step 6: Fill in the gaps

Now it's time to fill in any gaps or spaces between the wing and the lash line. Use short, precise strokes to create a smooth and even line. Take your time and make sure the color is intensified and opaque.

Step 7: Clean up any mistakes

If you make any mistakes or have uneven lines, don't worry. Simply dip a small angled brush into a makeup remover or concealer and clean up the edges. This will give your winged eyeliner a clean and polished finish.

Step 8: Apply mascara and finish your look

To complete your party-ready look, apply mascara to your upper and lower lashes. Curling your lashes beforehand can also help open up your eyes and enhance the overall effect. You can also add eyeshadow or false lashes for added drama and glamour.
